The Scottish Parliament Information Service (SPICe) has published a new briefing on local government finance. The paper clearly lays out the often confusing picture of local government funding.
Their research shows that the Scottish government’s cuts to local authority budgets are much deeper than those imposed on the Scottish budget as a whole by the UK government.
