This is our new UNISON Scotland LGBT+ committee constitution . It has been revised following the passing of the motion to add a plus ‘+’ to our self organised group name at National Delegates Conference last year – which passed unanimously after an excellent campaign for support.
It is vital that we recognise all members who’s identity falls under the plus umbrella, and ensure that their voices are heard.
Our committee does great work in promoting the rights of LGBT+ people at work, in the union and more broadly in the society. We are proud of the work we do.
Coronavirus has shown the inequalities in Scotland. And how important it is to speak up for all minority rights. And that our reps reflect the community they live and work in.
